There are many ways you can help nurture peace, prepare for change and navigate conflicts.
Please help us promote peacebuilding and the work of Place for Hope by telling others about this work – especially anyone you know who might appreciate support or opportunities for learning. You can download our information leaflet here or contact us if you would like a bundle to display at an event or within your reception area.
If you are aware of conflict or difficulty within your faith community, and would appreciate some support, please get in touch to see if we can help. There is more information about this on the ‘Support we offer’ page.
Develop your skillsEncourage your church or faith group to host a community dialogue or ‘facilitated conversation’. This could be a one-off or series of group conversations about a sensitive or important topic. We can co-host this with you and give you some ideas for how to organise and promote the event. You can also invite us to deliver a workshop with your community or group. For example, we can lead workshops on ‘Understanding Conflict’ or ‘Navigating Difference’. Contact us for more information.
Join one of our learning programmes. These sessions are designed for individuals who want to be more adept at hosting difficult conversations within their community. Our resources library includes material to enhance your personal practice and everyday life. It lists websites and books as well as material to download, video and audio clips.
Join our Peacemakers Network and receive news about upcoming events, training and helpful articles. This Network is for anyone who is interested in the work of peacemaking.
Our work is only possible because of the generosity of others. Our Team invest significant voluntary time to be equipped and to host conversations. We need financial resources to provide this training and supervision as well as help coordinate and promote the work. We welcome donations from individuals and organisations eager to support the work we do. Visit our donate page for more information, or contact us if you would like to sponsor a place on one of our courses.
"Peace… it does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart." (author unknown)
